Cheyney University of Pennsylvania will present an "An Evening with Alice Walker", a benefit event in support of the Keystone Honors Academy on the historic Cheyney University Campus.
A Pulitzer Prize winning author, Walker is an acclaimed poet, novelist, and activist. Dr. Alice Walker won both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1983 for "The Color Purple", a book that was adapted into a movie in 1985, and a Broadway musical in 2005.
The event will take place on the historic Cheyney University campus and the lecture will begin at 7:00 PM and will take place in the Marian Anderson Auditorium.
A book signing will follow the lecture.
Proceeds from the event will benefit students in the Keystone Honors Academy at Cheyney University.
A dinner reception for Sponsors at 5:00 PM in the Carnegie Great Room. Sponsorship packages are available at many levels and capacities, and all proceeds from the event will benefit students in the Keystone Honors Academy at Cheyney University.
